SCALFINO riflette nei suoi molteplici lavori l’ecletticità di un immaginario che si nutre di suggestioni cinematografiche, suoni e visioni tratte da un mondo sempre trasfigurato ed in continuo mutamento.
Un flusso di coscienza che si concretizza nei volti e nelle figure destrutturate, nelle scritte estemporanee, nelle situazioni rappresentate con un’urgenza comunicativa che prescinde il semplice tratto grafico. In questo senso il frequente utilizzo di materiali poveri è vera testimonianza della spontaneità espressiva ,dell’urgenza creativa che non si nutre di regole e schemi prefissi ma esplode con irruenza e si manifesta, cruda, su ogni superficie e materiale.SCALFINO’s many works reflect the eclecticism of an imagination that feeds on filmic influences, music and visions drawn from a transfigured and continuously evolving world.
A flow of consciousness materializes in deconstructed faces and figures, impromptu writings and situations represented with a communicative urgency that goes beyond the simple graphic features. In this sense the frequent use of undervalued materials is a true example of an expressive spontaneity, a creative urgency that is not fed by predefined rules or patterns but explodes impetuously and shows itself, raw, in every surface and material.
